Q: Does it cost anything to work as a Snelling temporary? A: There is never a charge. You become our employee and are paid an hourly rate for the hours actually worked for us at our various customers. We make the necessary payroll deductions from your paycheck, such as Social Security, Federal Withholding Tax, and, if required, state and local taxes. Q: What type of work is available? A: Our temporary assignments last a day, several days, weeks, or even longer at our customer's location. You choose a work pattern that fits your lifestyle. We have assignments covering office/clerical services, marketing, accounting, as well as light industrial areas. Q: How much will I be paid? A: Your hourly rate is based upon your skills and the type of assignments for which you are qualified. Our pay rates are competitive and may vary at each assignment. Q: When am I paid? A: We pay weekly. Your Staffing Manager will explain the payroll procedures. Q: Where will I be sent on assignments? A: Every effort is made to have you work in the areas you choose. They can be near your home, downtown, or close to public transportation. Q: What if the customer offers me a full-time job? A: If the customer offers you a full-time position and you want to take it, we can make the arrangements necessary for the temporary-to-hire conversion. Please call your office immediately.
