Responsible for hiring, training and developing the sales and administrative staff of the Snelling office in Lexington, KY. Oversees and directs marketing activities, business development, ethical and legal compliance requirements, client relations, and financial management.

1964-1986: General Manager and Training Director of eleven Snelling franchised offices in Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Nebraska and Kentucky. Trained managers and hundreds of staffing specialists and recruiters in all aspects of the profession.

1957-1964: Executive Vice President of chambers of commerce in Harrisonburg, VA (1957-1960) and New London, CT (1960-1964).

1955-1957: Special Agent, U.S. Counter Intelligence Corps, Washington D.C. Conducted interviews and background investigations to evaluate candidates for government security clearances. Carried highest level military security clearance.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Economic and Political Geography, Pennsylvania State University, 1955.

Ardent photographer and bird carver. Teaches Sunday school couples class of twenth-some learners between the ages of 55 and 80.

Certified Employment Consultant designation conferred by National Association of Personnel Consultants, served as National Chair of Ethics and Arbitration Committees, President of Kentucky Association of Personnel Consultants, and Chair of National Executive Committee of Snelling and Snelling, Inc.

Responsible for contracting existing clients and new prospects on a daily basis via phone or in person as well as interviewing and qualifying candidates for temporary and permanent employment. Coordinates placement activities to include obtaining job order, matching qualified candidates, setting up interviews, following up with company and candidate and negotiating between the two parties until a decision is reached. Additional responsibilities include making collection calls when necessary, assisting with payroll for temporaries, troubleshooting when problems arise, and participating in overall office operation. Has also assisted and mentored many new hires.

Started as PEC working the outside sales desk. After three years, moved into long-line recruiting, specializing in banking, placing bankers in the southeast and Midwest. Did that for about eight or nine years; due to a need to generate quick cash for the office, started working the clerical market on a local basis and have been there ever since.

Reading, Sunday school teacher, crossword puzzles, lots of volunteer work

Made Honor Circle twice and President’s Club once. Was written up in a National Magazine as a recognized banking recruiter. Have also won many Snelling national awards over the years for cash production.

Interview and qualify applicants for temporary and permanent position, matching people and jobs, arranging interviews and negotiating job offers and acceptances, telephone marketing and outside sales presentations to recruit new clients, maintain and manage detailed database of applicants and companies.

Fresh out of Georgetown College in 1979, opened a floral shop in Lexington, KY. Moved to Northern California with husband and spent seven years working in the office and classrooms at a large parochial school. After returning to Kentucky and a brief stint in retailing at Pier One Imports, she joined Snelling in August of 2007.

Cooking, entertaining, singing in church choir, attending art events, spending time with family.
