Meet the Staff

The staff here at Snelling is very experienced in matching the right candidate with the right position. Our office has almost 50 years of combined experience and has won numerous team and individual awards. For several years, we have received the Birmingham Business Journal's FastTrack25 List which honors the fastest growing companies in the metro area. We have also earned the Manager of the Year Award within the national Snelling network and the Top 15 Business Development Management Team.

Our success is largely due to the commitment to excellence of each member of our team. Below is a listing of the professionals who work in our office.

 

David Howard, General Manager and Co-Owner

David Howard has been with Snelling since 1998. He specializes in the placement of Professional, Office Clerical and Light Industrial positions on a temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire basis. David has been recognized nationally throughout his tenure as a Snelling Recruiter of the Year, Staffing Specialist of the Year, Manager of the Year and Regional Manager of the Year in the Snelling Network. He is a Certified Personnel Consultant and member of the Alabama Staffing Association. David is responsible for staff development, strategic planning, operations and implementation of company goals and objectives. David is a 1987 graduate of Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

Stephanie Howard, Staffing Manager and Co-Owner 

Stephanie Howard started with Snelling in 1995.  She specializes in the placement of professional, administrative and office positions on a temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire basis. Stephanie has been recognized nationally throughout her tenure as a Snelling Recruiter of the Year, Staffing Specialist of the Year, member of the Staffing Team of the Year and Account Manager.  She is a Certified Personnel Consultant and member of the Alabama Staffing Association.

Executive Recruiter 

Gordon is an energetic, marketing professional with proven success in recruiting, business development/sales, marketing and business management.  He has worked successfully for large corporations, small businesses and even a start-up company.  Most recently, he worked for nine years in all aspects of recruiting.  He holds an MBA from Auburn University.

Daniel Duckett, Business Development Manager

Daniel Duckett has been with Snelling Personnel for more than a year, during which time he has gained many business contacts throughout the Birmingham area.  As the Business Development Manager for the southern metro area, he works closely with new clients to ensure that every aspect of a job order gets passed along to the staffing managers.  Daniel devotes much of his working time to developing close relationships with both past and current clients as well as developing relationships with prospective clients. He is also an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and the Vice Chair of its Prospective Member Committee.

Elise Frey, Business Development Manager

Elise has worked successfully in two outside sales positions with accounts of several million dollars.  Her background includes sales for valves and power tools, so she is also familiar with the light industrial industry.  She also has retail sales experience.  Her goal is to build relationships, work on growing her territory by identifying new opportunities.  Elise has a degree from Auburn University in Electrical Engineering.

Kristen Saliba, Staffing Manager

Jamiel Saliba, Recruiter, Industrial

Jamiel Saliba focuses on the industrial side of the business.  He has been with Snelling for one year and in that time he has found a niche in the industrial maintenance field.  He works on positions to place service technicians, electricians, mechanics, and welders/fabricators as well as warehouse management and production managers.  He enjoys working at Snelling because he sees and hears the excitement when he finds that marketable candidate the right opportunity and gets them the job.

Ben Howard, Staffing Manager, Industrial

Ben Howard is a Staffing Manager specializing in temporary and permanent light industrial positions including general labor, warehouse clerks and forklift operators.  He joined the Snelling team in 2007 and has several years experience as a delivery/installation tech and driver for a Birmingham firm.

Administrative Team

Mishelle Marsh joined the Snelling Team in 2006 to manage our receptionist activities. She has over 20 years of combined experience with software and office equipment.

Bonnie Van Brunt has worked at Snelling since 1999.   She handles the temporary employee payroll. Along with payroll responsibilities, she also assists at the front desk and helps with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
