We are a Japanese travel agency in Waikiki, and our company has history of over 50 years in the USA. We have branches in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. This job is located in Honolulu, HI (Waikiki).


We are seeking an experienced hotel reservation agent.  

This person works primarily in our hotel reservation department as well as package tours by conducting guests’ check-ins/outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations.  


Responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming calls and inquires
  • Fulfill reservation requests by determining room availability to meet customer’s needs
  • Timely inputting reservations for fax, e-mail, and other sources accurately
  • Handle VIP and FIT reservations
  • Create and maintain new rate plans, package, or promotions
  • Resolving reservation issues
  • Various hotel contracts
  • Room block control management
  • Supply guests/Japan office with directions and information regarding accommodations, transportations, and tours and offer alternative room types, rate, and package to them
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with hotels, vendors, and other employees
  • Issuing vouchers or meal coupons



  • 1 year of reservation experience is required: previous experience in hotel reservations/travel industry highly preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Flexibility for a few weekend and holiday shifts
  • Clean and professional appearance
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Work in fast paced environment with demanding requests
  • Must be able to multi-task and a team player to lead the team
  • Must have good communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
