HR Manager


SNELLING is currently seeking an HR Manager in the Quitman area.  The primary role of the HR Manager is to develop and administer companywide policies relating to all aspects of human resources activity.

This HR Manager position will be direct hire, meaning that while SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process, the client would be the employer upon an offer being accepted. Primary Position Responsibilities/Tasks of the HR Manager include:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of HR strategy, programs, policy and infrastructure to ensure high quality HR solutions.
  • Work with the management team to understand business goals, diagnose current organization performance, and develop/implement plans to build needed organization capabilities and support continued business growth.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Implement an effective employee communication system that supports the values of the company.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent recruiting pipeline for each facility to meet the quality and quantity requirements of each hiring manager.
  • Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Identify training needs for functional areas and individual coaching needs.
  • Answer day to day questions and inquiries on compensation and benefits.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Participate in the continual improvement of HR policies, procedures and customer service satisfaction level.

Minimum Qualifications to be considered for the HR Manager role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent five to eight years related experience, certification from SHRM or HRCI preferred. 
  • Experience in all HR concentration areas such as benefits; compensation, workforce planning and employment, employee relations, occupational health, safety and security, strategic management, employee development, and training.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including an ability to motivate and mobilize the organization to achieve ever-increasing market challenges.
  • Outstanding organization and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment.
