Moving Coordinator



Position Summary:
The Moving Coordinator's role is to support Operations in achieving their budget and customer service goals. The Moving Coordinator is focused on communication with customers, internal and external partners, and agents of our company to meet the needs of the customer. The Moving Coordinator acts as a link between the customer and the rest of the Operations Team and ensures satisfaction for everyone involved in the transaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with customers to guide them through our move process.
  • Work with sales, operations, and office staff to provide a seamless move for our customers.
  • Communicates with other agents to coordinate services needed.
  • Ensure each task tied to the move process is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
  • Collects documents and ensure complete in each stage of the move process.
  • Update the move file in our system, Moveware, to ensure the file mirrors the
  • current status of the move.
  • Create estimates and send to customer. Follow up and answer any questions that the customer may have.
  • Invoicing
  • Participates in our call center, receiving calls and directing them to the appropriate person. Receive new customer inquiries and schedule for site surveys.
  • Filing
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma

Required Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Three years of customer service experience
  • Have a working knowledge of software applications: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail
  • oriented
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with all levels of employees, vendors and clients
  • Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Possess excellent decision making skills with quick response to customers
  • 10 key by touch

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or four year college degree
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Able to apply logic and reasoning to solve problems
  • Use sound judgment and discretion in performing work duties
  • Flexible and adaptable to change

Work Environment:

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Work Days and Hours:

  • Non exempt position
  • Generally, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm with Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm occasionally (one Saturday every 4 weeks)
  • Maintains excellent attendance
