Sourcing Specialist


We are recruiting a Sourcing Specialist for an innovative supplier of industrial products and services that produce Best-in-Class cost savings for our customers. These solutions include: Integrated Supply Chain Management, Industrial Vending, Custom Value Added Solutions, Information Technology and Product Engineering. Founded more than 50 years ago, this company has grown into be the largest firm of its kind in North America. Our customers include some of the largest government contractors in the industry and major manufacturers in the power generation, fluid control and transportation markets. Our client has been committed to providing quality products and outstanding service, supported by the uncompromising dedication of our employees. This is a temp to hire position with a page range starting at $16-$18 per hour DOE, excellent benefits package including profit sharing, PTO time, paid sick leave, paid vacations and much more.  The schedule for this position is Monday –Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM.

The requirements for this Sourcing Specialist position are:

  • Minimum of (2) years recent hands on experience in a Sourcing/Procurement role
  • Advanced level Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced environment and still meet deadlines

A typical day for the Sourcing Specialist looks like:

  • Work on large data sets, including RFPs
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Support other departments
  • Contacting suppliers to follow up on quote requests
  • Compare quotes and populate quote worksheets
  • Prepare reports as required
  • Research and understanding of products
