Floor Supervisor


The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehousing functions ranging from Inventory Control, Returning Stock, and or Receiving and managing warehouse associates. People management responsibilities include training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Supervise daily activities of warehouse functions alongside the Warehouse Management team and ensure safe and efficient storage and retrieval of product.

  • Supervise a team of warehouse associates to ensure the flows of products are meeting the demands of the sales division.
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Walk the floor daily and ensure sold product is quickly moved off the sales floor and to designated pick up areas
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances
  • Inputting data and weekly inventory of back room locations
  • Direct and maintain a safety program for all employees assigned to warehouse

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computerized inventory and tracking systems.
  • Data entry experience
  • Good customer service skills and interpersonal skills in a timely courteous and respectful manner
  • Leadership Skills: Highly effective leadership skills are needing in the processes of hiring employees and resolving conflicts, as well as keep employees motivated and on-task
  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to effectively handle multiple orders, people and many moving pieces within the warehouse.
  • Flexibility – must be able to multitask, handle high pressure situations, meet deadlines and adapt to an every changing industry and operation.


Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience in warehouse operations
  • At least 2 years of Supervisory experience


  • High School diploma or GED
