Sr. Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Systems Engineer – Proposal Management is responsible for working closely with the Business Development Manager to develop and articulate technical solutions for proposals, whitepapers, presentations, and other business materials.

Responsibilities include:
• Manage all aspects of rapid response proposal development (proposal writing, editing, illustration, production efforts, etc.) from assignment and receipt of RFP, through delivery and receipt by the customer

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in systems, digital, software, electrical, mechanical, or similar engineering field
• 1+ years in Business Development or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant Project Management, Project Engineering, or Project Lead experience
• 2+ years working on proposal efforts valued at $5M or more
• 5+ years of working knowledge of MS Office business applications

Preferred Skills:

• Management skills to direct and orchestrate medium-sized proposal team efforts
• 2-5 years relevant professional experience in ShipleyTM-style Proposal Management or similar
• Experience working on development programs in a department of defense contracting environment
• Experience as a customer proposal evaluator a plus
• Strong communication skills; experience writing and presenting technical information to customer and leadership audiences
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills; has the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
