JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Duties

Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations

Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations

Interviews patients to obtain their medical history

Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient electronic medical record

Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks

Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings

Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments

Properly disposes of contaminated supplies

Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Managing incoming phone calls and messages in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

Assists with the inventory and maintenance of clinical supplies

Marketing practice & providers during events throughout the year

Completing Electronic Medical Record daily tasks and Patient Portal requests

Performing Clinical Referrals to Specialists

QUALIFICATIONS:

Exceptional communication and customer service skills

Knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology

Has the ability to prioritize assignments in a busy environment

Previous experience with Meaningful Use & Patient Centered Medical Home

Electronic Medical Record experience, Office Practicum experience is a plus
