Staffing Manager/Recruiter

The Snelling Staffing Manager/Recruiter:

The Staffing Manager recruits, interviews and hires top talent.  Staffing Mangers build on current customer base by filling orders quickly while ensuring field employees meet client expectations. Staffing Managers also monitor service levels with all customers.  As a Staffing Manager, you must follow and enforce all Snelling Policies and procedures as well as federal and state requirements for hiring and employing people. 

Duties/Responsibilities of the Staffing Manager/Recruiter:

  • Manages the recruitment/search process
  • Screens applications and interviews candidates to determine candidate qualifications
  • Pre-qualifies candidates through evaluation and testing
  • Enters and updates accurate information in database of clients and candidates
  • Makes daily phone calls to perspective candidates and clients
  • Performs reference checks, background checks and employment verifications to determine candidates' previous work performance, criminal history and employment history
  • Places appropriate candidates to fulfill client requirements
  • Develops strong client and candidate relationships and maintains communication with both
  • Tours facilities as necessary to properly match temporary employees, review safety issues and address employee relations issues
  • Performs required marketing calls to clients to promote candidates and generate additional orders
  • Prepares and posts various types of advertisements for open requisitions weekly
  • Searches career websites to locate prospective candidates
  • Assists with the unemployment and worker's compensation claim processing
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements of the Staffing Manager/Recruiter:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 + years of staffing experience required
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills necessary
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Must maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently, multi-task and possess strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrates flexibility, openness, respect and sensitivity in dealing with others
  • Maturity, judgment and consultative ability to interact effectively with candidates and clients at all different
  • Strong customer service skills and selling skills required
