Quality Assurance Manager- 1st Shift

Denton, TX 
$80,000 – $115,000

7am-3pm Plus overtime

Position Overview:

Directly responsible for all matters pertaining to the Quality Management System and ensuring that it operates and is maintained in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements, Drives continuous improvements to ensure superior quality of Mayday's product and customer service. Work performed with minimal supervision. 

Duties and Responsibilities
-Support the organization's business plan as it applies to QQ Functions
-Act as a liaison with external parties on matters that pertain to the Quality Management System (QMS) and/or AS9100 as management representative for the Company.
-Monitor and manage the performance of internal and external audits including the quality system, customer survey and approvals as needed.
-Responsible for overseeing customer complaints, rejections & non-conformities to determine root cause and develop the appropriate corrective actions, as needed.
-Ensure employees receive proper training on quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and customer specifications.
-Organize, promote and improve company-wide quality standards
-Create, image, and update the Quality Management System and procedures as needed.
-Responsible for the sustainability of the organizations's quality system through internal and external audits (i.e. ISO and customer audits). 
-Determines and document areas, policies and/or procedures in need of improvement and create a plan of action and implementation process.
-Determine root cause and corrective actions as necessary.
-Implement and sustain AS9100 requirements as defined in the company's QA Manuel. 
-Ensures all production and production support processes and procedures meet all regulatory compliance guidelines.
-Lead the quarterly management review process
-Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned and/or as needed.
-Adhere to company Quality and Safety standards, policies and procedures at all times.

Skills:
-Full understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing practices, policies, procedures, regulations as these relate to Quality specifications and standards (e.g. AS9100).
-Leadership with business acumen
-Proven ability to manage QA and Regulatory Compliance developments
-Ability to think strategically while considering new perspectives.
-Possess strong mental agility and strong relationship building skills.
-Strong working knowledge of business practices, processes and environments
-Excellent articulation skills with proven ability to communicate with individuals with in all levels of an organization.
-High level of attention to detail required.
-Excellent math and reasoning skills with the ability to read and interperate complex documents.
-Effectively communicate by written or verbal skills with buyers, customers, quality managers,sub-contractors, vendors, and other across various organizational functions to resolve issues. 
-Fluently speak, read, and write English

Education/License Requirements:
-High school degree or equivalent required
-associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
-Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) preferred. 

Experience Required
-7-10 years experience within the Quality Assurance field.
-7-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
-5 years experience in Regulatory Compliance for a manufacturing environment.
