Phlebotomist Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Collects blood and specimens from patients according to departmental protocol and policy.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the principles of phlebotomy.
Follows established safety policies regarding biohazard and sharp exposure.
Practices appropriate safety, environmental, and infection control procedures.
Maintains good performance in blood culture collection.
Ensures blood volumes administered to blood culture bottles are appropriate for age of patient collected.
Performs other tasks as requested or assigned.

Senior Level Medical Assistant:

  • 1-3 years of Phlebotomist experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
