JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Forklift Operators – 1st and 2nd Shift
Snelling is immediately hiring for stand-up Forklift Operators in Des Plaines, IL for a growing organization with a great corporate culture and room for advancement! As a Forklift Operator you will assist drivers with customer deliveries by helping load and unload products from the delivery carriers and move product into its designated location safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a stand-up forklift, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business.
Pay Rate: $14-$15 an hour based on experience
Duration: Temporary-to-hire
Shift(s) Available:
- 7AM-3:30PM -Wednesday-Sunday
- 7AM-3:30PM-Sunday-Thursday
- 8AM-4:30PM-Monday -Friday
- 2:30PM – 11:00PM- Monday-Friday
- 6AM-2:30PM-Monday-Friday
- 7AM-3:30PM-Tuesday-Saturday
- 11am-7:30pm-Tuesday-Friday and Saturday 6AM-2:30PM
Forklift Operator Job duties include the following:
- Load and unload deliveries using forklift
- Monitor & ensure that vehicles are loaded and secured properly and accurately
- Moving Freight within the warehouse including pallet rack locations
- Verify freight is correct by checking paperwork to physical freight
- Using RF scanner to move and ship freight
- Checking paper- work for accuracy
- Breaking down freight
- Assist with general warehouse duties
- Pull and stage orders using stand up forklift
Forklift Operator Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift experience sit down & stand up
- This position will involve lifting 30+ pounds
- This position will have you on your feet a majority of the day
- Working knowledge of Raymond forklifts
- Reliable transportation to and from shift
