HR Manager


SNELLING is currently seeking candidates with experience in human resources to join a growing local company as a Human Resources Manager.  In this Human Resources Manager role, you will perform a variety of human resources related functions including new hire coordination/onboarding, participating in ongoing recruiting efforts, serving as the point of contact for questions regarding benefits, conducting training/skills enhancement in a variety of topics, advising management on HR related matters, management of personnel files, and compliance with applicable regulations (including keeping training records up-to-date).  In addition, the HR Manager will maintain a current knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees, helping to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.  As necessary, the HR Manager will need to be available to conduct effective, through and objective investigations. 


Qualifications to be considered for the Human Resources Manager position include:

  • A minimum of three years having served as the HR Manager contact with relevant duties as described above, preferably at a small to medium sized business
  • An HR certification such as a PHR, SPHR, etc. is strongly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Prior experience helping to update and implement new hiring processes.
  • Willingness to seek out solutions in the absence of an immediate answer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field of study is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard business software tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
