Location: Austin, TX 78758
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant / Inside Counter Sales Representative for a growing roofing and construction supply company in North Austin. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, construction knowledge, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
The ideal candidate will assist walk-in customers, answer incoming sales inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and help customers find the right products for their projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist walk-in customers in the showroom
Answer incoming sales calls and customer inquiries
Generate quotes, pricing, and sales orders
Follow up with customers regarding estimates and orders
Provide product information and assist with technical questions
Maintain accurate order details and customer information
Support the sales team with additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of sales or customer service experience preferred
Construction or building materials experience preferred
Roofing industry experience is a plus
Ability to read a tape measure required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Comfortable learning product knowledge and technical information
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
Experience using software systems and order entry programs preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
