PRODUCTION OPERATOR

Location: Bryan, Texas
Starting Pay: 17.00 per hour

Schedule: 12-hour day and night shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW

Snelling Staffing is hiring a dependable Production Operator for a manufacturing company in Bryan, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity for someone with production, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience.

Candidates must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts and transitioning from a daytime schedule to a nighttime schedule after the initial 90-day training period.

WORK SCHEDULE

First 90 Days:

• 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

After 90 Days:

• 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The Production Operator may be required to rotate between day and night shifts based on production needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate production and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

• Follow established production procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.

• Monitor equipment and report safety, quality, or mechanical concerns.

• Measure, calculate, and document production materials accurately.

• Clean equipment and maintain an organized production area.

• Follow all safety, chemical-handling, and waste-disposal procedures.

• Assist with preventive maintenance activities as assigned.

• Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment when needed.

• Work closely with supervisors, lead operators, and other team members.

• Complete additional production duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous production, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.

• Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts.

• Ability to transition to the night shift after the first 90 days.

• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 55 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical work for extended periods.

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

• Ability to follow written procedures and safety instructions.

• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.

• Experience working around chemicals or hazardous materials.

• Shipping and receiving experience.

• Quality assurance or color-matching experience.

• Technical, manufacturing, or industrial training.

PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 55 pounds.

• Ability to move 55-gallon drums using approved mechanical equipment.

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for up to 12 hours.

• Ability to wear a full-face respirator when required.

• Ability to work safely around industrial materials and chemicals.

• Must wear required protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses.
