Our client is a boutique, full-service accounting and business consulting firm known for delivering thoughtful, personalized solutions to complex financial, tax, and business challenges. Located in Cranford, NJ, they serve a diverse client base of closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and entrepreneurial clients.
Role Overview:
The Senior Tax Accountant will work across multiple client engagements, including tax and accounting. This is an ideal role for an experienced public accountant who thrives in a collaborative, advisory-oriented firm that values client relationships, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
Participate in financial statement preparation and compilation engagements
Conduct tax planning and research for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses
Assist clients with business consulting matters including entity selection, succession planning, and M&A support
Mentor junior staff and support their development
Requirements:
3–10 years of recent public accounting experience (large firm preferred; local firm experience is a plus)
CPA license or actively pursuing CPA
Strong knowledge of tax compliance, GAAP, and business advisory best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation a plus
Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
PC skills, including accounting software proficiency (Lacerte or Engagement proficiency is a plus)
