About the Role:
Snelling Staffing is hiring a Sorter for a leading Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Germantown. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent hours and long-term potential. The Sorter is responsible for inspecting, organizing, and processing materials on a conveyor line to support the recycling process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort recyclable materials by type, size, and condition
- Remove contaminants and dispose of waste properly
- Stack boxes and dump totes as needed
- Feed material onto conveyor belts
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and surrounding equipment
- Monitor machine performance and follow safety protocols
- Participate in regular safety and operations meetings
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must attend orientation before starting
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 3 months of related work experience (warehouse, general labor, or production)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a loud, dusty, and physically demanding environment
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
