Job Title: Fine Gardening & Landscape Specialist
Pay Rate: $14.00 / hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Area: Off Pelham Road, Greenville, SC

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Gardening & Fine Landscaping Specialist to help transform and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. If you love working outdoors, take pride in meticulous, hands-on garden care, and prefer the craft of true plant care and creative landscape design over loud commercial lawn mowing, this is the perfect role for you.
This position focuses heavily on the “gardening” side of landscaping—pruning, bed maintenance, softscape design, and light hardscaping.
Key Responsibilities
•Garden Bed Maintenance: Weeding, deadheading, mulching, and routine care of existing floral and plant beds to keep them healthy and vibrant.
•Hand Trimming & Pruning: Pruning, shaping, and trimming bushes, shrubs, and small trees primarily using hand tools (shears, pruners, saws) to maintain plant health and clean aesthetic lines.
•Design & Light Hardscaping: Assisting with garden layout designs, softscape plant placement, and installing light hardscape elements (e.g., decorative stone, borders, small pathways, retaining elements).
•Property Upkeep & Debris Removal: Hand-clearing brush, leaves, and organic debris; ensuring property work areas are kept neat, clean, and well-maintained.
•Hand Work & Craftsmanship: Executing most tasks with precision hand tools rather than heavy machinery, focusing on delicate, high-quality outdoor care
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
•Passion for Gardening: Basic knowledge of or strong interest in plants, shrubs, flowers, and proper pruning/mulching techniques.
•Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, bend, kneel, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform detailed manual work by hand for extended periods.
•Attention to Detail: A strong eye for clean edges, healthy plants, tidy workspaces, and garden aesthetics.
•Reliability: Punctual, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or alongside a small team.
