Job Description
Snelling is currently recruiting experienced Fitter’s with experience reading blueprints, fitting and assembling metal components, and working with fabrication equipment.
Location: Helena, AL
Schedule: 1st shift, 4-day workweek.
Pay: $22.00–$26.00/hour, depending on experience
Fitter Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans
•Fit and assemble structural steel and metal components
•Measure, cut, align, and position materials accurately
•Use hand and power tools and fabrication equipment
•Ensure components are properly aligned and fitted before welding
•Inspect work for accuracy and quality
•Work efficiently while meeting production and quality standards
Fitter Qualifications:
•Previous experience as a Fitter, Structural Fitter, or similar fabrication role
•Ability to read and understand blueprints
•Strong measuring and layout skills
•Experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication is preferred
•Ability to use common hands and power tools
•Strong attention to detail
•Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
•Ability to work a 10-hour shift on your feet
