Job Description
Position Summary:
Snelling Staffing is seeking an experienced Slitter Operator to join a manufacturing team on Philips Highway. This position is responsible for operating slitting equipment to ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining efficiency, minimizing waste, and following all safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, adjust, and operate slitting equipment
• Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment to transport materials
• Read and interpret measurements and production specifications accurately
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Meet production schedules and efficiency goals
• Work closely with team members to complete production orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Work overtime as needed based on production demands
Requirements:
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Slitting or metal processing experience required
• Crane operation experience required
• Tape measure and measurement experience required
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production setting
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working around machinery and in a manufacturing environment
