Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays (OT): 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Job Description:
Snelling Staffing is currently hiring Forklift Operator / Data Entry Clerks for a fast-growing warehouse facility in Jeffersonville, IN. This position is responsible for operating forklifts to move and stage inventory while accurately entering shipping, receiving, and inventory data into warehouse management systems. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a high-volume warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials
Perform data entry for inbound and outbound shipments using warehouse management systems
Accurately record inventory movements, product counts, and shipment information
Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
Create and process shipping documents including packing slips, labels, and bills of lading
Verify shipment details for accuracy, quantity, and product condition
Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
Communicate with warehouse supervisors, drivers, and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
Conduct routine equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines
Requirements:
Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
Data entry or clerical experience preferred
Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or shipping software
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting
