Snelling Staffing is hiring Baristas for multiple coffee and dining locations throughout the University of Kentucky campus.

We have a large number of openings with multiple locations, schedules, and shifts available. Candidates may have opportunities at Starbucks, PJ’s Coffee, and other coffee and beverage concepts located throughout UK’s campus.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your assigned location, responsibilities may include:

Preparing hot and cold coffee and espresso beverages

Preparing teas, specialty drinks, and other beverages

Taking customer orders and providing friendly, efficient service

Operating a register and processing customer transactions

Following recipes and beverage preparation standards

Stocking cups, ingredients, food items, and supplies

Maintaining clean and organized counters, equipment, and workstations

Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and food-service areas

Assisting with opening and closing duties

Following food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures

Working efficiently during busy periods between classes and campus events

Performing other food-service duties as needed

Multiple UK Campus Locations

Barista opportunities are available at multiple coffee and dining locations throughout the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington.

Assignments may include Starbucks, PJ’s Coffee, and other campus coffee or beverage locations.

Your specific work location and reporting instructions will be provided based on the position you’re matched with.

What We’re Looking For

Friendly, dependable, and punctual

Strong customer-service skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Able to communicate clearly and work well with a team

Comfortable standing and remaining active throughout the shift

Willing to follow recipes, procedures, and food-safety requirements

Reliable transportation to the University of Kentucky campus

Previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, cashier, or customer-service experience is preferred

Previous Starbucks or other specialty coffee experience is a plus
