Lead Machinist – 2nd Shift
Louisville, KY | $34.00–$38.00/hr
Snelling Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Lead Machinist to join a growing Louisville manufacturing company. This opportunity offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the chance to lead a skilled machining team in a precision manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
Pay: $34.00–$38.00/hr
Responsibilities:
Lead and support a team of machinists while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC lathes and milling machines.
Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings.
Perform precision inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
Assist with tooling selection, process improvements, and troubleshooting machining issues.
Qualifications:
Previous Lead Machinist, CNC Machinist, or machining leadership experience.
Strong CNC setup, operation, and programming experience.
Experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience with CAM software, CAD/SolidWorks, EDM, or plastics manufacturing is a plus.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and cannot hold dual citizenship.
