Job Description

Maintenance Technician – Resort Property
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour shift, 30-minute lunch)
Schedule: Weekends and some holidays are required. Must be able to join the regular on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

The Reality of the Role
We manage high-end houses and condos, and our guests expect everything to work perfectly. As our Maintenance Tech, you aren’t just fixing broken items—you are the face of the property. We need a proactive self-starter who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and can switch gears quickly when a guest has an issue. You’ll report to the Rental Manager and work closely with Housekeeping and the Front Desk to keep the property running smoothly.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Hands-on Fixing & Upkeep: Handling routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting issues across our houses and condos.
Inspections: Checking properties right after a guest leaves or before a new one arrives to catch maintenance issues early and document any damages.
Guest & Owner Support: Helping guests and property owners with a professional, helpful attitude. This includes answering owner requests and helping them coordinate updates like new flooring or furniture.
Coordination: Keeping track of your own work orders from start to finish, managing maintenance inventory, and occasionally coordinating with outside vendors (painers, carpet cleaners, etc.).
Safety & Security: Keeping work environments safe, following basic security protocols, and handling the occasional after-hours emergency call when you are on rotation.

What We Are Looking For
The Right Experience: 2+ years of maintenance experience (preferably in a hotel, resort, or property management setting) along with some basic experience tracking inventory or orders.
Tools & Skills: Proficient with basic hand tools and a sharp eye for detail—you notice the loose trim or leaky faucet before the guest does.
Physical Ability: Able to lift, push, or pull 35+ pounds regularly throughout the day.
Reliability: You need dependable transportation, a professional demeanor, and a team-first mindset.
True Schedule Flexibility: Because this is a hospitality environment, working weekends, holidays, and being available for on-call emergencies is a hard requirement for the job.
