Grinder Or Metal Finisher

Position / Title:  Grinder / Metal Finisher

Shift / Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

@ times they have OT that can be from 5:00-3:30 & if Saturday 5:00/6:00 – 11:00

Until the Rowlett facility officially opens, all Rowlett-based employees will report to work at the Bonham facility.

To help offset the additional commute, employees hired for Rowlett positions will receive a $2.00 per hour temporary commute differential while working in Bonham. The commute differential will end once the employee officially transitions to reporting to the Rowlett facility.

Pay Rate: $20 to $22, DEO, will consider up to $24 for highly skilled with years of similar experience

Location: On-Site, will work in Bonham TX until the Rowlett facility opens

Reports To:    Weld Supervisor

Responsibilities

Able to grind pars according to the print specifications and able to follow inspection procedures.
Able to read work instructions and make a visual inspection of parts for cosmetic defects.
Must be able to comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
Must be able to complete work orders associated with the job, assuring that it is accurately completed prior to moving to the next operation.
Able to understand and follow all verbal and written instructions.
Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Able to work with handheld air tools and hand files as required.
Able to grind both steel and aluminum materials.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to handle parts and material up to 35 pounds.
Stand extended periods of time.
Be open to performing miscellaneous tasks to assist shop personnel.
Minimum Position Requirements

Must be familiar with spotwelding as it applies to equipment knowledge and operation familiarity.
Able to adjust spotwelding equipment to produce high quality welds on various materials.
