JOB SUMMARY:
Snelling Staffing is hiring dependable Cable Pullers for a growing technology integration company in San Antonio. In this hands-on role, you will install, pull, route, and support low-voltage cabling systems for commercial and industrial projects while helping deliver reliable data, security, fire alarm, and communication infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in the low-voltage industry. No previous low-voltage experience is required; candidates with backgrounds in construction, general labor, warehouse, electrical helper, or other hands-on roles are encouraged to apply. Previous cable pulling experience is preferred, but our client is willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety. Candidates must be flexible to travel to local customer job sites and occasional short-term out-of-town projects as needed.

CABLE PULLER PAY & DETAILS:
Pay range: 17.00–20.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday + occasional Saturdays | Overtime opportunities available
Location: San Antonio, TX 78247 | Travel to local customer job sites and occasional short-term out-of-town projects required

CABLE PULLER DUTIES:
Pull, route, secure, and label low-voltage cabling including CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, coaxial, and fire alarm cable.
Assist with installing cable pathways including J-hooks, cable trays, conduit, and raceways.
Read and follow blueprints, floor plans, cable schedules, and basic construction drawings to complete installations accurately.
Operate hand and power tools safely while maintaining clean and organized job sites.
Support Lead Technicians with cable installation, testing, troubleshooting, and project completion.
Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures while working on active commercial construction sites.
Communicate project progress, installation issues, and material needs to supervisors.

CABLE PULLER REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to reliably commute to work.
Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screening and meet applicable customer and job-site access requirements. Screening may include a criminal background check and drug test.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic construction drawings or installation instructions.
Must be willing and able to travel to local customer job sites and occasional short-term out-of-town projects as needed.
Ability to work overtime or adjust schedules when project timelines require.

PREFERRED:
Previous cable pulling, low-voltage installation, or structured cabling experience.
Experience with CAT5e/CAT6, fiber optic, fire alarm, security, CCTV, or access control systems.
Background in commercial construction, electrical helper, or construction labor roles.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
BICSI certification or related low-voltage training.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
