JOB SUMMARY
Snelling Staffing is hiring dependable Industrial Maintenance Helpers for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a contractor supporting the maintenance operations of a major automotive manufacturing plant on the south side of San Antonio. In this role, you will assist Facilities Maintenance Mechanics, monitor equipment and sludge levels, maintain clean and orderly work areas, and perform general industrial support tasks to help keep facility operations running safely and efficiently.

No prior industrial maintenance experience is required — you will receive on-the-job training. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working in a hot and humid industrial environment, and interested in building a career in industrial or commercial maintenance.

PAY/SCHEDULE/LOCATION/BENEFITS:
Pay range: Starting at $16.00/hr + DOE
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM; 1st shift with no rotating shifts
Location: On-site in South San Antonio, TX 78264

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE HELPER DUTIES:
Assist Facilities Maintenance Mechanics with daily maintenance and facility support tasks
Monitor equipment, liquid, and sludge levels to help keep systems functioning properly
Inspect and maintain work areas and equipment to support safe and efficient operations
Clean work areas and equipment by sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and performing general housekeeping duties
Document work performed and report observations or issues to the appropriate team members
Walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility while working in a hot and humid industrial environment
Perform additional maintenance and general industrial support duties as assigned

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE HELPER REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to reliably commute to work; public transportation is not available to this location
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, which may include a criminal background check and drug test
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
Must be comfortable working in a hot and humid industrial environment
Must be able to read and follow instructions and use sound judgment
Must be dependable and willing to learn new industrial maintenance tasks
PREFERRED:
Previous experience in industrial, commercial, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, or general labor is helpful but not required
Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with basic hand tools is a plus
