Job Description
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include addressing, stamping and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, sorting, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
Essential Functions:
Deliver or route materials to departments using work devices such as forklift, hand truck, etc.
Locates materials by FIFO procedures to ensure the correct product at line
Examine contents and compare labels, verify accuracy of label
Scan materials to proper warehouse locations
Label rows with placard to identify product
Maintain storage spaces, cast and machined parts, dunnage
Support maintaining and sorting customer layer pads for Machining production
Maintains material handling equipment by completing all necessary inspections
Relay to Department Coordinator any problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
Participate in continuous improvement and 5-S activity
Meet overall company goals established concerning key performance indicators
Requirements
High school diploma/GED
6 months to 1 year related experience
Forklift experience
Shipping/material handling experience
