Customer Service & Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Wilmore, KY (On-site)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM
Pay:$19-$22/hr
We are a well-established, family-owned company seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Customer Service & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer support while managing essential administrative and accounting functions. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, technically proficient, and comfortable working extensively with Microsoft Office—especially Excel—to analyze information, maintain records, and support daily operations.

What You’ll Do
Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone and email in a friendly, professional manner
Provide accurate, timely information about products and services
Assist customers with troubleshooting and issue resolution
Conduct outbound calls to follow up on inquiries or resolve outstanding matters
Enter and maintain customer account information with a high degree of accuracy
Process accounts receivable payments (ACH, checks, and credit cards)
Generate and distribute invoices for products and services rendered
Perform detailed data entry, reconciliation, and record maintenance
Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report financial and customer data
Communicate effectively with internal team members to ensure efficient service completion
Maintain professionalism, strong phone etiquette, and a customer-first mindset

Technical Skills & Computer Proficiency (Required)
This role requires strong, hands-on computer skills and the ability to work efficiently within digital systems.
Microsoft Office Expertise Required:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
Formulas (e.g., IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS)
Pivot tables for reporting and data analysis
Data sorting, filtering, and validation
Basic data reconciliation and error identification
Creation and formatting of spreadsheets for operational tracking
Experience with Excel Macros or automation tools strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word for professional correspondence and documentation
Ability to learn and navigate company software, accounting systems, and databases quickly
Strong typing, data entry accuracy, and overall digital literacy

What We’re Looking For
Previous customer service experience preferred
Experience supporting accounts receivable, billing, or administrative functions preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with the ability to work with data and identify discrepancies
Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Positive attitude with a team-first mindset and willingness to assist where needed

Skills Assessment Requirement
To ensure success in this role, candidates will be required to complete pre-employment skills assessments, which may include:
Microsoft Excel proficiency evaluation (formulas, data analysis, pivot tables)
General Microsoft Office competency testing
Data entry accuracy and attention-to-detail assessment
These assessments help identify candidates who can effectively manage the technical and analytical aspects of the position.
