Die Setter 3rd shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

Snelling is looking for experienced Die Setters for a growing, fast paced plastics company in the Grand Rapids area.

 

As a Die Setter, you will work in cooperation with the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure presses work in an efficient manner meeting all goals. (i.e. scrap, efficiency, labor, etc.)

 

3rd shift 

$14 – $16 per hour based on experience

$1 per hour attendance bonus for perfect attendance paid every 2 weeks!

 

Essential Functions of the Die Setter:

  • Pull and set molds, set up robots and associated end of arm tooling
  • Identify and correct safety hazards at press and work cells
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on secondary equipment and preventative maintenance
  • Support all areas of production as needed
  • Identify and request assistance in the areas of maintenance and tooling as needed
  • Complete minor tool repair
  • Communicate with oncoming and outgoing shifts
  • Adherence to ISO [Quality and Environmental] procedures, policies and work instructions
  • Adherence to OSHA safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
  • Ability to efficiently perform material/color change if needed
  • Other tasks as required
  • Assist Shipping/Receiving
  • Assist in inventory control on shop floor
  • Assist in training of operators
  • May fill in for supervisor as needed (upon completion of training)

 

Requirements of the Die Setter:

  • MUST pass basic injection molding test with minimum of 80% correct
  • One year minimum of PLASTIC mold setting experience
  • Proven ability to set up injection molding presses
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Ability to operate overhead crane
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • LOTO certified
  • High school diploma or GED
