Do you seek a position that utilizes your purchasing/negotiating talents combined with your machining/assembly/manufacturing expertise? SNELLING seeks full-time Purchasing Manager who provides Production Support with your divergent thinking for our Fort Collins’ client.

Perks for the Purchasing Manager / Production Support Position:

Responsibilities for the Purchasing Manager / Production Support Position:

  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing and operations support strategies.
  • Create and track key metrics to reduce expenses and track performance.
  • Perform cost and risk analysis for current and future contracts.
  • Monitor performance of the operations manufacturing group.
  • Direct supervision and daily monitoring of buyers, stock room and receiving team members.
  • Continue and create new processes based on Lean concepts for inventory control.
  • Seek out new vendors and suppliers who will perform as partners, adding value to our organization.
  • Work closely daily with manufacturing supervisors.
  • Assess and develop plans to ensure key components are ready for production on time delivery.


Required qualifications for the Purchasing Manager / Production Support Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years’ leadership experience, preferably in purchasing and manufacturing environment with direct reports of 5+
  • Ability and desire to be a servant leader, create a positive working environment and lead by example.
  • Proven work experience in a custom-build manufacturing environment
  • Divergent thinking and problem- solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proven experience negotiating pricing and utilizing available resources to ensure the organization realizes the best value possible
