Normal Hours are M-F, 6am to 2:30pm, until 4:30pm when they work OT

The Production Laborer performs a variety of tasks in the production area to facilitate the construction of doors made to order specifications.
responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble large door components.
Operate and monitor machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
Manage the flow of materials throughout the plant.
Produce high-quality work that conforms to standards.
Inspect products for any abnormalities.
Maintain equipment and supplies.
Maintain a clean work area so that hazards and debris are removed.
Participate in on-the-job training initiatives to learn multiple areas.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work overtime as needed.

education and experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Woodworking and/or door fabrication experience preferred.
Production or industrial setting work experience preferred.
Job training is provided.

knowledge, skills, and abilities
Able to work in a team environment.
Hard working and motivated to learn a variety of skills.
Familiarity with hand and power tools, electric hydraulic and air-powered a plus.
Able to listen, understand and follow directions.
Good verbal communication skills.
Good math skills.
Experience using and reading a tape measure.
Able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
Bilingual English/Spanish language a plus.
Physical requirements
Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete.
Ability to climb stairs.
Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and frequent lifting of heavy objects.
Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to push weights up to 500 pounds with a team.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
