Looking to further your career in the medical field? We have a medical clinic in the Baton Rouge area urgently seeking Certified Medical Assistant with years of experience.
This role requires a strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. A current MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED prior to applying. This temp-to-hire position offer $16-$18 per hour depending on experience with an excellent benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer injections to patient per physician’s orders
• Check vitals and obtain patient history
• Maintain detailed and accurate notes about patient interactions and care plan for charting
• Prepare exam rooms including maintaining clinical supplies and disinfecting room
• Verify insurance and update patient information
• Answer incoming calls as needed including scheduling appointments
Position Qualifications:
• ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A VALID MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION PRIOR TO APPLYING
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
