JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will support an experienced vascular surgeon by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting during outpatient vascular procedures. The Surgical Technologist plays an important role in delivering safe, efficient patient care while helping procedures run smoothly from start to finish. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced Surgical Technologist or a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a specialized outpatient surgery setting.

PAY/SCHEDULE/LOCATION/BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $24.00–$28.00/hour DOE
$26.00–$28.00/hour for candidates with Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) and applicable experience
$24.00–$26.00/hour for candidates with applicable experience who are not certified
Schedule: Temp-to-Hire | PRN | Weekdays only
Location: On-site | Stone Oak, San Antonio, TX 78258

SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST DUTIES:
Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
Scrub and assist the vascular surgeon during outpatient vascular procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
Anticipate the surgeon’s needs by efficiently passing instruments, sutures, and supplies.
Assist with patient positioning, draping, and operating room turnover between procedures.
Perform instrument and sponge counts according to established protocols.
Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards.
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care.

SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to reliably commute to work.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, which may include a criminal background check and drug test.
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent education.
Knowledge of sterile technique and basic operating room procedures.
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods during surgical procedures.
PREFERRED:
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist – NBSTSA) or TS-C (Technician in Surgery–Certified – NCCT).
Previous operating room or outpatient surgery experience.
Recent graduates with completed clinical rotations or internships are encouraged to apply.
